Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has told his team-mates that he wants to rejoin Juventus. Corriere dello Sport reports Pogba is keen on a return to Turin, just two years after leaving for a world record fee. The France star made his name with Juventus, where he won the Serie A title in each of his four seasons with the Italian giants, as well as two Coppa Italias. Pogba left Juve to return to United for £89.3million in 2016. However he has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho and wants to quit Old Trafford. Barcelona considered moving for Pogba in the summer and were prepared to meet his personal terms before shelving their interest.

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel expects the club to stick with manager Jose Mourinho. The Dane laments United have now become a sacking club. Schmeichel, who won the 1992 European Championship with Denmark, told BBC Sport: "I don't know what the thinking is and I hate the fact we are club that sacks their managers. Four members of staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a member of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) and a three-year-old girl at the weekend died in an accident on Ajaokuta–Lokoja Road, an official has confirmed. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt in Lokoja, Kogi State capital yesterday that the corps member was performing his primary assignment with INEC office in Lokoja, while the child belonged to one of the INEC staff members. The victims were returning from Ayingba, Kogi, where they attended the wedding ceremony of another INEC worker, NAN learnt. The Director of Voter Education and Publicity at Kogi Office of INEC, Ahmed Biambo, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with NAN. Biambo said the victims were from the Information and Communication Technology and Account departments of INEC. He said the corpses had been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja.

Egyptian legend, Mohamed Aboutrika has been sentenced to a year in jail on charges of tax evasion, local media reported on Tuesday. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that a commercial and financial crimes court in Cairo passed the sentence against Aboutrika in absentia on Monday, the state-run al-Ahram newspaper reported. The court found Aboutrika guilty of evading taxes on earnings of 710,000 Egyptian pounds ($40,000) for doing advertisements for soft drinks and a telecoms firm. The paper said the court ordered the former .er who now lives in Qatar to pay 20,000 pounds as a bond to turn the prison term into a suspended sentence. Aboutrika, 40, played 100 times for Egypt from 2001-13, scoring 38 goals and helping his country win the African Nations Cup in 2006 and 2008. More news@ 19reporters
